Do I need a Cloud subscription to use a TimeMoto Time Clock?

If you want to profit from an easy-to-use, managed cloud solution that is actively developed, you should use a TimeMoto Cloud Plan. TimeMoto offers three different subscriptions, including a Free Plan that contains the basics of timekeeping and reporting for up to 10 users (including a manager role). Data from our Time Clocks is synchronised with your TimeMoto Cloud, where you can monitor attendance, run reports, and more. Visit the Pricing page to compare Plans.

How does the TimeMoto Cloud 30-day Plus Plan free trial work?

You can sign up for a free trial of our most extensive TimeMoto Cloud Plan on our Cloud Plans page. You will be given a 30-day free trial of the Plus Plan with all our available features. It is up to you to decide if you want to stay on this plan after the free trial period expires. If you do nothing, you will automatically transition onto the Free Plan. You will have the ability to choose to upgrade to the Essential or Plus Plan.

Where can I find manuals or tutorials for Time Clocks and TimeMoto Cloud?

On our Downloads page, you can find many resources. These include quick installation guides for our Time Clocks and product sheets. The TimeMoto Support Centre offers a lot of helpful articles, including a ‘Getting Started with TimeMoto’ tutorial covering Time Clocks and TimeMoto Cloud. How does TimeMoto help meet compliance with laws and regulations?

One key aspect of labour law in many countries is the requirement for businesses to record work hours accurately. How do I create an account?

You create an account by going onto the TimeMoto Website, going to the upper right-hand corner, and pressing the figure icon. From here, you get a menu with three options – Webshop, Cloud 1, and Cloud 2. Under ‘Webshop’, you can sign up for an account if you don’t have one yet. Or, even quicker, sign up by just clicking here.

Why do I need an account?

You need to have an account to use a TimeMoto Time Clock and to use TimeMoto Cloud. Having an account will create a profile for your business and employees where all your accumulated data is stored for record-keeping and convenience.

I forgot my password and/or email address; what can I do?

If you’ve forgotten the password to your TimeMoto account, you can press here and enter the email address you connected to your account for a recovery link to be sent to you. If you’ve forgotten the email associated with your account, please get in touch with customer support directly here.

How do TimeMoto Cloud subscriptions work?

TimeMoto Cloud has three subscription options: Free, Essential, and Plus. Each Plan has different features, but they are all compatible with the TimeMoto Time Clocks. The Essential and Plus Plans have a monthly cost and an additional monthly cost per user. If you have more than 75 employees, you can benefit from the discounted monthly rate per employee.

Do I need to pay to use TimeMoto Cloud?

You do not need to pay to use the TimeMoto Cloud Free Plan. This Cloud Plan is perfect for smaller companies with up to 10 users (including a manager role) who don’t need much but the basics of timekeeping and reporting. To get more features with unlimited users, look up the Essential or Plus Plans.

Time Clocks (Clocking in and out)

How do I connect or set up a Time Clock?

All Time Clocks have a quick installation guide to help you set up your Time Clock for the first time. In our Support Centre, you’ll also find articles on how to set up your Time Clock for the first time or how to mount your Time Clock to a wall.

How does a Time Clock work?

A Time Clock is a device that employees use to clock in or out to indicate the time that they’ve worked. There are several methods to clocking in or out, such as RFID badges and a personal PIN code, or even fingerprint and face recognition. Go to our Shopping page to find our Time Clocks, or the Configurator page to figure out what works best for your business.

Where/how can my employees clock in and out?

All your employees need is a TimeMoto Cloud User Account. Once that is established, your employees can clock in and out on a TimeMoto Time Clock on any device with a browser and internet connection with TimeMoto Cloud or use our TimeMoto Cloud mobile app.

Which Time Clock do I need for my business?

What software do I need to use a TimeMoto Time Clock?

Orders/Delivery

How do I place an order?

By going to the shopping page on our website, you can click on any of the items you see to add them to your cart. From there, you can order either as a guest or through your account.

Can I adjust the details on an order I placed?

Currently, order details cannot be adjusted once the order is placed.

What are the available payment methods?

You can pay with Visa or Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. On our Netherlands web shop, we also accept iDEAL.

What countries does TimeMoto ship to?

TimeMoto primarily ships within the EU and US, and while it is possible to ship outside these two regions, it comes with more complications. Please contact customer support for more information on how we can best ship to you.

What are the shipping costs?

Shipping costs depend on your region. In Europe, shipping costs are free over 50EUR; in the USA, we offer free ground shipping with UPS. To see more details about shipping and delivery, check out our Delivery & Warranty page.

How/where can I check the status of my order?

This can be found in your personal TimeMoto account.

Returns

How can I return unwanted/incorrectly ordered products?

TimeMoto has a 14-day money-back guarantee on all our products (excluding our software). During this time, you can return an item purchased from our online store for a full refund. Limitations apply.

Can I cancel my order?

If you’d like to cancel an order that hasn’t shipped yet, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. If you’d like to cancel an already shipped order, please refuse delivery at your door. UPS will then return the order to us, at which point we can cancel it and issue you a refund.

When will I receive my refund?

You will receive your refund within 30 days of your return or cancellation being accepted.

Can I exchange my product?

The only kind of exchange TimeMoto can facilitate is the return and subsequent purchase of another product.

What is the warranty on TimeMoto products?

All our products are manufactured to stringent quality and safety standards. We offer a 3-year warranty for many of our products after registration of your product. For more info, go to our Delivery & Warranty page.

How do I request a repair?

Based on the parameters here, we will take repairs for free within the warranty period or provide a quote if your time clock is no longer under warranty. Use this form to request your repair.

How long does a repair take?

The repair is usually completed within 1-2 working days unless extenuating circumstances exist. If it can be repaired, it will be sent the same day (and the customer receives an automated email with tracking) or replaced (if in stock). It takes another 1-2 working days to process (and you will receive an automated email with tracking).

I have purchased via a reseller – how do I return for credit/repair?

Your product needs to be returned or requested to the third party where your product was purchased.

Privacy & Security

What does TimeMoto do with my personal data?

TimeMoto stores your personal data on your individual TimeClock device and TimeMoto account. No personal information is handled outside these two designated places as in compliance with GDPR.

How does TimeMoto handle biometrics?

The TimeMoto Cloud application is, by default, not intended to store any sensitive (biometric) data such as fingerprints and/or facial scans as defined for any customer located in the EU/EFTA region. Furthermore, all TimeMoto clock-in terminals offer an alternative to biometric identification (e.g. via RFID or pin), safeguarding legally required users’ free expression of will. If users consent to biometric identification (i.e. by means of fingerprints or facial scans), all such data is then encrypted and stored locally on the TimeMoto clock-in terminal. No biometric data, or any encrypted results thereof, are kept anywhere else than on the specific TimeMoto clock-in terminal. Moreover, the encrypted files are not traceable to an individual fingerprint or facial scan.

Which regulations does TimeMoto follow with employees’ personal and clocking data?

TimeMoto complies with local labour laws and GDPR, and equivalent regulations on privacy and data protection in all regions where we are available.
